Wow. What a day.

Apple has officially released and ready to order (ships in February, though) the Macbook Pro, the new Powerbook based Notebook.

The new MacBook Pros include an integrated camera on the inside of the lid, and the MacBook Pro is claimed to be 4 times faster than notebooks using the PowerPC technology. Mac Book Pro’s also include 2 intel processors at varying speeds.

Along with a camera, the MacBook Pro also includes Front Row, Apple’s version of Microsoft’s Media Center, along with a remote control.

Apple also released new iMacs which feature Intel processors. According to Apple, the Intel processors in the new iMacs are supposedly 2 times faster than the PowerPC technology. iMacs include integrated cameras and Front Row, and a media remote control almost identical to the Mac Book Pro’s.

Apple has also released new earbuds that have an antenna (for radio) integrated into the 3.5mm jack, which on the supported iPods, the iPod Nano and the iPod with Video, it will enable FM radio. Because the antenna is in the jack, there are no external parts.

iLife is also included in every purchase of a new Intel powered Apple Machine.

What a great day in the Apple World! I’m so glad I waited on a powerbook. Can’t wait to get one of these Intel powered Mac Books!
