Control your iTunes from the web!

A reader at Engadget wrote a script to be able to control your iTunes setup from anywhere, using the internet. It is a small PHP script and is handy if your media center is setup through your computer and your computer is inconveniently placed, or something like that.

Check it out!

Edit: The download link to the zip file containing the zip on that link on Engadget is down, so once you read the tutorial at the above link, then click here to download.

Steve’s Keynote Results

Wow. What a day.

Apple has officially released and ready to order (ships in February, though) the Macbook Pro, the new Powerbook based Notebook.

The new MacBook Pros include an integrated camera on the inside of the lid, and the MacBook Pro is claimed to be 4 times faster than notebooks using the PowerPC technology. Mac Book Pro’s also include 2 intel processors at varying speeds.

Along with a camera, the MacBook Pro also includes Front Row, Apple’s version of Microsoft’s Media Center, along with a remote control.

Apple also released new iMacs which feature Intel processors. According to Apple, the Intel processors in the More >

MacWorld 2006 Expo

The MacWorld 2006 Expo is just around the corner — actually, starting today, through the 18th.

Steve Jobs is said to attend the expo making another keynote speech, where he may announce some new goodies in the Apple world.

From what I have read, there may be a release of a new iPod Shuffle – possibly with a screen, and in black. All of this is rumours, however.

There is also word that Apple may reveal details about the new Apple’s which will feature Intel based processors – unlike the now used PowerPC cores. The Intel Mac’s were said said to debut sometime in More >

Pandora

Pandora is a relatively new service that will create a customized radio station in a way, that will orientate itself to the type of music you like.

For example, I created a station that was titled Green Day Radio. I signed up, told them that I liked Green Day, and it started to play songs that were alike Green Day, and that had similiar musical similiarities. When it plays a song, I can tell it whether I like the song or not. If I don’t — it will never play that song again. If I do, it will play it more, and More >

It will update your software automatically and mange it, installing it all at once — you can even pick what you want installed. If you already have the program installed, it will mange it and update it regularly with the others.

Here’s the software it comes with so far:

2005 in Review.. Sorta. And happy new year!

Let’s face it, 2005 was a great year in the technology world. Windows Vista was introduced (previously Longhorn), Digg came about, many new iPods were released, and much more. My plan for this post was to gather my favorite posts from 2005 and announce them here. However, I started this blog in November, and there is not a whole lot to say for November and December. Because of this, I am going to repost a few of my favorite articles from TTO, and also a few from other blogs I visit.
